Multiple phase steel and process for its manufacture

Cold rolled sheet or strip is made from a steel contg. in wt.%: 0.05-0.3 C; 0.8-3 Mn; 0.4-2.5 Al; 0.01-0.2 Si; balance Fe plus usual impurities. The steel is free from pearlite and has a predominantly ferritic structure with inclusions of martensite and opt. bainite and/or residual austenite.
