PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the control device for a vehicular automatic clutch, which effectively controls exothermic caused by the slip of an automatic clutch. SOLUTION: The control device for a vehicular automatic clutch is equipped with a clutch temperature detecting means 40 detecting the temperature of an electromagnetic clutch 2 acting as an automatic clutch, and with a slip quantity control means 50 controlling the quantity of slipping of the electromagnetic clutch 2. When the temperature of the electromagnetic clutch 2 exceeds a specified one, the slip quantity control means 50 controls a clutch current correcting means 38 for increasing clutch current energizing the electromagnetic clutch 2 so as to correct it, thereby hastening the engagement of the automatic clutch 2 so as to lessen the quantity of slipping of the automatic clutch, and concurrently outputs a signal requiring a decrease in driving torque generated by an engine, to an engine electronic control unit 10 controlling the operation of the engine. |
