<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject colorless transparent to milky white composition containing specific polytetrafluoroethylene wax particles, capable of being easily wiped off and giving coating films excellent in water repellency and abrasion resistance. SOLUTION: This overprint varnish composition contains tetrafluoroethylene wax particles having a volume-average particle diameter of 2-4μm in an amount of 15-40wt.% based on the whole amount of the overprint varnish composition. The overprint varnish composition preferably further contains (B) 20-50wt.% of a resin such as a rosin-modified phenolic resin, a petroleum resin or an alkyd resin, (C) 0-30wt.% of a drying oil such as linseed oil or soybean oil, (D) 10-60wt.% of a solvent such as normal paraffin or isoparaffin, and 1-5wt.% of additives such as a drier.</p> |
