PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a flame-retardant polyurethane foam which has good flame retardancy and a high hardness, and is less likely to contaminate a metal by using a specified polymer polyol suitable for the preparation of a flame-retardant foam in combination with a flame retardant comprising a relatively small amt. of an inorg. powder. SOLUTION: This foam is prepd. by reacting a polyol component with a polyisocyanate and curing the product. The polyurethane foam comprises a polyol component, with fine particles comprising at least an aldehyde condensate resin being dispersed or incorporated therein, and an inorg. powder. The content of the inorg. powder is 1 to 70 pts.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. polyol component, and the density of the polyurethane foam is 0.1 to 0.9g/cm<3> . The aldehyde condensate resin is at least one member selected among melamine and urea resins, and the content of the inorg. powder is 5 to 80 pts.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. polyol component. |
