PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner which forms an operation unit integrally on the top of a front cover and reduces the number of components and prevents a mounting screw from being seen directly from outside. SOLUTION: This invention relates to an air conditioner which is provided with a casing 2, an air inlet 4 on the front and an air-outlet on the top and an operation unit on the other side and a front cover 3 mounted on the casing 2, and fixes an electric equipment box 7 having a plurality of operation knobs 7b, which project upward by way of a through hole 6b of an operation unit 6 and is mounted with an operation control 6a on the operation knob 7b and provides a recessed part in a corner angle between the front surface of the front cover 3 and the top and provides an insertion opening 8c on the bottom of the recessed area and mounts removably an air filter 8 having a handle 8a on the upper end where a screw is engaged with the electric equipment box 7 from a spot near the through hole 6b of the operation unit 6 or the front surface of the aforesaid recessed part, thereby fixing the front cover 3 with the electric equipment box 7. |
