PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make an intake device for distributing intake air from an air cleaner to each cylinder of a multiple cylinder combustion engine compact and lightweight without increasing intake resistance and to simplify a supporting mechanism when a carburetor or a throttle body is mounted on the intake device. SOLUTION: A body case 6 is mounted on the side wall 4a of a cylinder head 4 such that each intake port 3 of each cylinder is open in the body case 6 and intake air introducing port 8 is made in the body case 6 and an intake pipe 7 is mounted to each intake port 3 in the body case 6 such that one end of the intake pipe 7 communicates with the intake port and the other end is open in the body case 6.
