PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simultaneously compress and cut aluminum cans by one apparatus. SOLUTION: Rotary blades 3 having a large number of rotary cutting blades 4 and collars 5 alternately attached thereto and the fixed blades 7 arranged between the rotary blades 3 in opposed relationship are provided and the rotary cutting blades 4 are equipped with a large number of cut-in blades in the circumferential direction thereof. The fixed blades 7 are formed into a comb tooth shape and the protruding parts thereof have length reaching the collars 5 inserted into the gaps between the cutting blades 4 and the cut-in blades bite in cans to grasp them by the rotation of the rotary blades 3 and the cans are compressed in this state by the rotary blades 3 and the fixed blades 7 to be cut into a short strip like shape.
