PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition having excellent photo-curing properties. SOLUTION: This composition contains as the essential constituents anα- cyanoacrylate and a group VIII transition metal metallocene compound containing an aromatic electron-system ligand, such asπ-arene, indenyl orη- cyclopentaclienyl, and it also contains a cleavage-type photo-initiator. It can be rapidly cured by irradiation with light even when the gap between adherends is widened, when squeezed out from a joint, or when used in a state in which it is not put between a pair of adherends as in coating. Since the curing reaction proceeds through anionic polymerization, the composition does not suffer such cure hindrance due to oxygen as observed in radical polymerization, and even a part where light does not reach because of the shape of a base material when irradiated with light can be cured through anionic polymerization.
