PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To regenerate an image formed as an overlapped hard copy by the simple operation by generating a given pattern image signal and applying the modulation to the above-said signal by a first image signal to form a pattern modulation image signal, which is recorded on a second image signal. SOLUTION: For example, a color difference pattern image signal 753 is issued as a pattern image signal from a pattern generating section 703, and the phase modulation is applied in compliance with an embedded image signal 751 output from a first image memory 701 in a pattern modulation section 704 to form the pattern modulation image signal 754. Then the pattern modulation image signal 754 is overlapped on an image signal 752 to be embedded output from a second image memory 702 by a pattern overlapping section 705 to form a pattern overlapping image signal 755. The pattern overlapping image signal 755 is converted into an ink quantity signal 756 by a color modifying section 766, and then input into an image recording section 707 to output a hard copy image. |
