PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a facsimile equipment with convenience of use without mis-transmission by allowing the facsimile equipment to make an immediate reply of acceptance or rejection to a terminal equipment in response to a read request of an original from the terminal equipment. SOLUTION: The facsimile equipment (FAX) 13 is made up of a CPU, a memory, an operation display section, an image read section and a control means control section or the like. Upon the receipt of a read request from a terminal equipment(TE) 14, the FAX 13 judges whether the image read section is not in use or not reserved. In the case of making a read request rejection, the FAX 13 sends it to the concerned TE 14, and the TE 14 withdraws the request once. On the other hand, when reading is possible, the FAX 13 stores terminal equipment identification information and inhibits the image reading from other TEs 14 and displays it on each operation section of the other TEs 14 that the image read section is reversed. Then the FAX 13 informs it to the TE 14 requesting the read request that the request is accepted. Thus, an original is set to the image read section and the FAX 13 awaits the reception of terminal equipment identification information from the concerned TE 14. |
