PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust gas-purifying catalyst enhanced in durability and having excellent low temp. activity and purifying capacity even after high temp. endurance. SOLUTION: This monolithic structure type catalyst has a catalyst component support layer. As a catalyst component, rhodium and hexaaluminate are contained. This hexaaluminate contains nickel, cobalt, iron, manganese, chromium, potassium, strontium, barium or lanthanum or an arbitrary mixture of these elements. Palladium, platinum, zirconium oxide, cerium oxide, an alkali metal or an alkaline earth metal may be added. |
