PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the grinding device of a nonround body capable of suppressing the increase of frictional resistance at the time of grinding and preventing the decline of work quality. SOLUTION: Based on lift data r(Ai) corresponding to an object Ha to be worked, a curvature radiusρ(Ai) to the angle Ai of the object to be worked is calculated and thus, the curvature radiusρi to the rotation angleθi of a main shaft is calculated. Then, the rotation speed of the main shaft is set for each unit rotation angle of the main shaft so as to be changed corresponding to the value of the calculated curvature radiusρi. At the time of the grinding, a motor tar the main shaft is rotation-controlled based on the set main shaft rotation speed.
