<p>The outer metal covering of aluminium ribbon is applied to the back surface of refrigerated container to absorb the heat generated by the cooling coil. The container is advanced over a conveyor belt (18, 19) with the back surface uppermost. A roll (23) of aluminium ribbon with predetermined width and thickness(10) is unwound by driven rollers. A dispenser (24) applies a suitable adhesive (28) and a return roller (5) reverses the direction of the ribbon so that it can be directly applied to the surface of the container. A cutter (17) cuts off the required length of ribbon (10) and a pressing roller (15) is moved back and forward to cause the ribbon to adhere to the container.</p> |
