PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To store an operating fluid having energy more than necessary in an accumulator. SOLUTION: This power steering device is provided with a variable- displacement hydraulic motor having a cam ring 17 changing the intake quantity and discharge quantity of an operating fluid from a pair of intake/discharge ports 29, 29 feeding/discharging the operation fluid and connected with its output shaft to a steering mechanism, a control device 3 operating the cam ring 17 of the hydraulic motor 1, a hydraulic pump 4 discharging the operating fluid, a check valve 8 and an accumulator 9 in the middle of an operating fluid pressure passage 7 guiding the operating fluid discharged from the hydraulic pump 4 to the hydraulic motor 1, a selector valve 10 capable of selectively connecting a pair of intake/discharge ports 29, 29 of the hydraulic motor 1 to the operating fluid pressure passage 7 and a drain passage 52 respectively, and a control unit 53 controlling the control device 3 and the selector valve 10 based on the steering torque signal. |
