HEAD REST FOR AUTOMOBILE SEAT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To comprise a means to regulate the height of a head rest and to a means to regulate the longitudinal position of a head rest by rotating a head rest. SOLUTION: A head rest for an automobile seat comprises at least one guide assembly 10 to perform translation motion of a head rest over a spindle 2 mounted on the back of a seat; a joint assembly body 20 mounted on the guide assembly 10 in such a manner to turn around a joint shaft 7 extending at right angles with the axial direction of the spindle 2; and a lock member 30 mounted on the guide assembly 10 turned between a lock position and a lock release position centering around a shaft 8 paralleling the joint shaft 7. The lock member 30 comprises a fastening pad 31 pressed in a lock position against the spindle 2; and a head 32 to grasp a curve part 23, formed integrally with the joint assembly 20, in the lock position.
