PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve productivity and to rationalize personnel arrangement by holding a rail between the top face of the head and the rear face of the leg in the direction of the symmetry axis of the rail cross-section, pressing to impart a bending deformation of the flexural composition so as to form a projection on the top face of the rail head, and thereby reducing a manual press-straightening operation under ordinary temperature. SOLUTION: Plural patch pieces divided in the longitudinal direction are attached to a patch supporting device and also oppositely installed. The patch pieces are each provided with a movable mechanism capable of being moved arbitrarily and positioned in the direction of the symmetry axis of the rail cross-section. The rail 10 is inserted and, with the patch supporting devices mutually approaching through a pressing mechanism, is held and pressed between the top face of the head and the rear face of the leg by the plural patch pieces. The profile (imparted curvature) at the time of bend-straightening the end of the rail (high temperature press) is imparted by the envelope profile of the tip end parts 1-6, 1'-6' of the plural patch pieces. |
