PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an epoxy resin compsn. improved in the resistances to heat cycle, wet heat, heat, and arc by compounding an epoxy resin, a carboxylic anhydride, an inorg. filler, a silane coupling agent, and an inorg. ion exchanger. SOLUTION: This compsn. is prepd. by compounding 100 pts.wt. epoxy resin having an epoxy equivalent of 55-800 and comprising a bisphenol epoxy resin having an epoxy equivalent of 450-4,000 and 5-40wt.% halogenated bisphenol epoxy resin having an epoxy equivalent of 300-800, a carboxyic anhydride in an equivalent ratio of its carboxyl group to the epoxy group of the epoxy resin of 0.4-0.9, 0.01-5 pts.wt. cure accelerator, 30-170 pts.wt. inorg. filler having an average particle size (50wt.% average) of 0.5-75μm, a silane coupling agent in an amt. of 0.1-3wt.% of the filler, and 0.1-5 pts.wt. inorg. ion exchanger.
