PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the shape and layout of a filler plate at the intersection of a longitudinal member along a hull shell plate and a lateral rib plate in particular. SOLUTION: One side of a longitudinal member 1 penetrating a slot formed on a lateral floor plate 2 is welded to the lateral floor plate 2 at the intersection of the longitudinal member 1 fitted to a hull shell plate and the lateral floor plate 2, and the other side of the longitudinal member 1 and the lateral floor plate 2 are connected via a filler plate 4 by welding. The filler plate 4 is increased in thickness from one end section to the other end section in sequence, elbow plate-like portions 6a, 6b are provided at the upper edge and the lower edge, and the end face of the thickened end section is fillet-welded to the lateral floor plate 2. The joint face between the filler plate 4 and the longitudinal member 1 is inclined by the required angleθ, the filler plate 4 can be easily positioned before welding as the filler plate 4 is lowered by its tare weight, and no special support means is required.
