PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cover for intake of an engine cooling water which can compensate a decrease in pressure in a water tank and the delay of an increase in the pressure and thus can prevent cavitation or partial boiling when the cover is opened to supply water when the atmospheric temperature is high. SOLUTION: A cylindrical inserting part 23 for tightly inserting into a water intake 21 is made on the cover 20 for covering the water intake 21 and a cylinder 26 whose one end is open to the water intake side is formed in the inserting part 23 and a pressuring valve 27 which is urged in the direction of the open port by a pressuring spring 28 is disposed in the cylinder 26, Also when the atmospheric temperature is high, water is filled in a water tank 1 and then the cylindrical inserting part 23 is tightly inserted into the water intake 21 and the pressurizing spring 28 pressurizes water via pressurizing valve 27, whereby the water pressure in the water tank 1 is pressurized, which prevents the occurrence of cavitation and a decrease in the flow of the cooling water. |
