PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the omissions of an exclusive on-line switch and a cover switch possible with on loss of printing data by a method wherein a manual operating means used for the first function for instructing the conveyance of or recording paper and for the second function for instructing the changing-over between an on-line state and an off-line state. SOLUTION: When a printing action is started after the receipt of dada by an interface part 22, normally no paper feeding switch is used. At this time, the same switch can be used for other function. Under the state just mentioned above, by changing-over the function of the switch, the is set as an on-line and off-line switch. Or concretely, when switch 6 is operated after printing is started, a printing controlling part 25 controls so as to change over the state of a printer 2 from on-line to off-line in order to set to state, in which the receipt of the data except a real time command is inhibited or not quaranteed, and also stop the printing action. |
