PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a continuous burning furnace under a special atmosphere capable of reducing a thrusting-up accident. SOLUTION: This continuous burning furnace under a special atmosphere generating an alkaline gas, etc., during burning process thereof, is obtained by using a porous refractory heat insulating material containing >=90wt.% Al2 O3 and <=10wt.% SiO2 and having >=50kg/cm<2> compression strength and 30-70% void ratio as an inner refractory heat insulating material 2, and a heat insulating material as an atmospheric gas adsorbing layer, capable of attaining a condensation temperature and containing <=90wt.% Al2 O3 and >=10wt.% SiO2 as a second layer heat insulating material 3. |
