PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyamide resin for printing ink which is obtained by using specific carboxylic acids and amines in a specific proportion, thus has far much improved oil resistance and is solubilized in alcohol, as other performances are maintained, and is useful in special gravure printing. SOLUTION: (A) an aliphatic 1-4C monocarboxylic acid, (B) a polymerized fatty acid, (C) a diamine of H2 N(R<1> )NH2 (R<1> is a 2-10C divalent hydrocarbon or isophorone residue), (D) a polyamide of H2 N(R<2> NH)n H (R<2> is a 2-3C alkylene; n is 2-5) are subjected to polycondensation reaction to give the objective resin containing 15-65 mole-equivalent % of component A/(component A + component B) and 15-95 mole-equivalent % of component D/(component C + component D). It is preferred that (E) a 1-4C aliphatic monoamine is used instead of the component B to give a polymer with component E/(component E + component C + component d) of 15-65 mole-equivalent % and component D/(component E+component C + composition D) of 15-80 mole-equivalent %.
|
