<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the damage on a recording surface at the time of running by jetting a pressurized fluid to an information medium when the speed after the running of the information medium is started is lower than a prescribed speed, or in a certain time after the running of the information medium is started. SOLUTION: The control timing of a changeover valve 10 for forwarding the pressurized fluid generated by a pump 9 to an information recording/ reproducing head 3 is decided in a digital controller 20. When the mode is a tape running mode, the running speed of the information medium is detected by using the output of a tachometer. When the relation between the running speed V of the information medium and a certain speed Vp is V<Vp, the signal for supplying the pressurized fluid to the head 3 is transmitted to the changeover valve 10. By this procedure, the information medium 1 is floated from the head 3, thereby the running performance with a little influence of running friction is obtained, and the damage on the recording surface of the information medium 1 is drastically suppressed.</p> |
