PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal transfer medium and an overcoat transfer medium which can form a good transfer pattern excellent in abrasion resistance, solvent resistance, chemical resistance, etc., and a printing method using the mediums. SOLUTION: In a thermal transfer medium, a peeling layer and an ink layer are laminated in this order, and the peeling layer contains 30wt.% or more of a thermosetting resin. An overcoat transfer medium has a peeling protective layer for protecting a transfer pattern on a backing, and the peeling protective layer contains 30wt.% or more of the thermosetting resin. A printing method has a process in which the transfer pattern is formed on a transfer material by heat energy using the thermal transfer medium and a process in which an overcoat layer is formed on the formed transfer pattern by heat energy using the overcoat transfer medium. |
