PRODUCTION OF COLOR FILTER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a heat-resistant color filter having a multicolored fine pattern with high accuracy and uniform thickness on a substrate with good follow-up property of a photosensitive film and good workability by including a process to laminate the second or succeeding color photosensitive resin layer to form a space in pixels and a process to heat the resin layer to transfer the pixel spaces, and specifying the film thickness of the pixels of the three primary colors. SOLUTION: A color photosensitive resin layer (green) 2 of a photosensitive film is laminated on a transparent substrate 4 where pixels (red) 3 are preliminarily and regularly arranged so that a space 5 is formed on the substrate (process b). In the transfer process which is between the laminating process above described and a treating process including development, the colored photosensitive resin layer (green) 2 is transferred to the space 5 by heating (process c). The order of colors is not limited and any order of colors is allowed. The film thickness of all pixels of the three primary colors of red, green and blue is controlled to 3.0 to 5.0μm. Thereby, the thickness of the color photosensitive resin layer is preferably 3.0 to 5.0μm as a whole.
