A pressure regulator (42) is arranged between the extinguishing medium container (12) and the meltable hollow body (48). The meltable hollow body is a hose and is connected with an excess pressure valve (70). The gas-form pressure medium is a drive means for a liquid or powder-form extinguishing medium. The gas-form medium is carbon dioxide. A control valve (10) is incorporated which has a valve seat (26), a closure component (28) provided for the valve seat, and a release chamber (34) in which the closure component forms a pressure surface. The meltable hollow body is connected with the release chamber via the pressure regulator.
