FIELD: ore-smelting equipment; subliming reduction sulfudizing smelting of non-ferrous and rare-earth metals, namely germanium-containing materials. SUBSTANCE: ore-smelting electric furnace has side walls, hearth and arch which form melting chamber; hearth and side walls are lined with carbon refractory and oxide refractory in lower and upper portions, respectively. Innovation of invention consists in ratio of diameter (width) of melting chamber to its height which ranges from 1.5 to 1.6 and ratio of height of side walls lined with oxide refractories to height of walls lined with carbon refractories which ranges from 1.11 to 1.21. EFFECT: increased specific productivity, increased extraction of germanium and ratio of enrichment of sublimation, reduced power requirements and consumption of electrodes. 2 cl, 1 dwg, 3 tbl |
