PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To rapidly and precisely fix the reading effective range of each line image sensor a part of which is overlapped-arrayed in a main scanning direction. SOLUTION: The respective line image sensors 31 to 33 adjacent to each other in a main scanning X direction are arranged by deviating by a size d in a sub-scanning direction, the width of the sub-scanning Y is made the size d and a side terminal in the main scanning direction is in contact with another adjacent side terminal within an overlapped readable area x1. Through the use of a correction chart 40 with plural reference images 41 to 43 printed in forms corresponding to the arranging positions of each line image sensor 31 to 33, the respective reference images 41 to 43 corresponding to the respective line image sensors 31 to 33 are formed to be capable of reading and storing read each reference image reading data. The respective reading effective ranges RA 1 to RA 3 of the respective line image sensors 41 to 43 can be fixed through the use of each stored reference image reading data. |
