PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital data communication equipment using easily the communication service with a high communication efficiency in which valid/ invalid discrimination is always conducted for speech data and image data after call connection and only valid data are selected on a channel so as to select select a communication path. SOLUTION: In PHS terminal equipment being one of embodiment forms of the digital communication equipment, a voice coding/decoding section 2 applies compression coding to an audio signal from a speech input output processing section 1 to convert the signal into digital data and the digital data from a time division control section 3 are expanded and decoded to convert the data into a speech signal. A data transmission control section 6 provides an output of digital data coding image data and character data. A data valid/ invalid discrimination section 7 discriminates valid/invalid digital data outputted from the voice coding/decoding section 2 and a data transmission control section 6 and selects only the data discriminated to be valid and sends the selected data to a channel. |
