PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to assure the forward visual field of a user without degrading the visibility of image information and to enable the user to perform work more safely by setting the center of a magnified virtual image at a specific angle or below upward from a visual line direction at the time the user views a horizontal direction. SOLUTION: A virtual image forming optical system 2 is arranged in the position of an elevation angle 8 where the angle formed by an optical axis 6 connecting the canter of the magnified virtual image 3 and the swiveling point 5 of the eyes 4 of the user 1 and a horizontal axis 7 attains about 23 deg. upward. The screen information virtually magnified by the virtual image forming optical system 2 is made visually recognizable forward about 700mm by the virtual image forming optical system 2. At this time, 9 deg. each on both sides around the optical axis 6 as a center and total 18 deg. are assured as the perpendicular angle 9 of view of the magnified virtual image 3 visually recognized by the user 1. The horizontal angle 12 of view of the magnified virtual image 3 secured when the virtual image forming optical system 2 is arranged respectively in front of the right and left eyes 4-1, 4-2 of the user 1 is 12 deg. each on both sides and total 24 deg. from the center of the width 10 of the eyes of the user 1. The forward visual field and upward visual field of the user 1 are sufficiently assured. The high safety and the excellent workability before the eyes are thus obtd. |
