PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To switch a background color with simple constitution by setting original reading areas different in light reflectance to an original pressing means and providing a means switching the original reading areas. SOLUTION: When an original 2 recorded with information on its both sides is mounted on an original table, a second branch pawl 13 is switched as shown in figure. Thereby the original 2 is transported from the original table to be separate-transported one by one. The transported original 2 is subjected to the reading of a picture by a photoelectric conversion means 22 in an original reading area 16. The original 2 the surface of which is completely read is sent to an inverter 7, which transports the original 2 to the area 16 to read a picture on the rear of the original 2. Next, when there is a picture only at one side of the original, branch pawls 9 and 13 are switched and the original 2 is transported to an original reading area 25. The reflecting surface of an original pressing roller 12 clearly projects a picture recorded on only one side of the original 2 in white. |
