PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the precision of a read of image data by improving the precision of position shift adjustments of an image sensor. SOLUTION: An image on a medium which is read by the image sensor is outputted, pixel by pixel, with shift clock pulses B. In adjustment mode, the image data are sampled in one-pixel units (interval P1) and in operation mode, the image data are sampled in two-pixel units (interval P2) to make the resolution higher in the adjustment mode than in the operation mode. |
