PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To loosen the restriction of an inputting object in a picture input device obtaining a whole picture by photographing partial pictures through the use of two-dimensional image sensor and composing these partial pictures. SOLUTION: A mouse picture input device 100 is constituted by inserting a mouse 120 and a camera 130 to a mouse adapter 110 to compose the photographed partial pictures to form the whole picture while moving this. At this time, a rough positional relation between the photographed partial pictures is obtained from coordinate information inputted from the mouse 120 and a more detailed positional relation is obtained from the common part detection of photographed picture information. In addition, a roller 115 is provided for the mouse adapter 110 and the movement of the mouse picture input device 100 is restricted to one-dimensional direction to improve moving precision to narrow the object range of the common part detecting processing of picture information.
