<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive earth leakage breaker with no restraint on where it is to be installed on a detection section. SOLUTION: If the current of a power line 1 is made different from that of a power line 2 due to an occurrence of earth leakage, a voltage corresponding to a variation in a magnetic field in accordance therewith is detected at a Hall element 4. It is then held at the peak by a peak hold circuit 7 through a differential amplifier 5 and a filter 6. If the voltage exceeds the reference voltage VREF of a comparator 8, a specified voltage is outputted from the comparator 8, which is then applied to the exciting coil 10a of a relay 10 through a buffer amplifier 9. As a result, a break contact 10b, series-connected with the power line 2, is opened, and power supply to the power lines 1, 2 is thereby interrupted.</p> |
