<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video data recorder and its method suitable for edit processing. SOLUTION: A recording section 10 applies compression coding to B frame data at a head (in-point) of foreground data to be recorded newly on a VTR 12 in correlation to only I frame data just after. Furthermore, the recording section 10 applies recoding to a B frame of background data adjacent to an end (out-point) of the foreground data and recorded already on the VTR tape 12 among the expanded and decoded expansion data in correlation with only I frame just after and records the resulting data to the VTR tap 12. The foreground data and the background data are recorded on the VTR tape 12 in an expansion decoding enable way as closed data in this way, then deterioration in the quality of the video image at the border of the foreground data and the background data is prevented.</p> |
