PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent obstruction of conductivity and enable sufficiently leading out excellent electric characteristics, by forming a glass layer in the vicinity of an interface of a thick film electrode and a ceramic element by using glass component of the thick film electrode. SOLUTION: A plate ceramic capacitor is constituted of ceramic dielectric 1 as a ceramic element and thick film electrodes 2 baked on both main surfaces of the ceramic dielectric 1, facing with each other. The baked thick film electrodes 2 form glass layers 2a which are almost laminar in the vicinity of interfaces 3 with the ceramic dielectric 1, and a conducting layers 2b which are formed almost laminar on the upper part of the glass layers 2a. The average thickness of the glass layers 2a of the thick film electrodes 2 is set to be greater than or equal to 0.1μm and less than or equal to 1.0μm. Preferably the average thickness is set to be greater than or equal to 0.1μm and less than or equal to 0.5μm. |
