PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lessen the light loss by bending when the number of apertures is lowered for high-speed transmission. SOLUTION: A first sheath layer 3 is formed by coating the surface of a core 2 consisting of a PMMA(polymethyl methacrylate) with a compsn. consisting of a vinylidene fluoride copolymer and a methacrylate resin. A second sheath layer 4 is formed by further coating the surface thereof with a vinylidene fluoride resin having the refractive index lower in a range over 0.005 and 0.08 or under than the compsn. forming the first sheath layer 3. A protective coating layer 5 consisting of a thermoplastic resin is formed on the circumference of the fiber 1 formed in the manner described above, by which the cable is constituted.
