Stable vitamin A ester emulsions

A stable emulsion of a Vitamin A ester is prepared by: (a) dissolving the ester in a cold mixture of an aqueous phase containing: (i) an alkylene glycol (especially propylene glycol); (ii) a polyol (especially glycerin); and (iii) a sorbitan oleate (especially sorbitan mono-oleate); and (b) mixing the solution in a warm fatty acid ester phase.
