PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a hardware scale by executing table conversion processing which receives a picture signal with a value obtained by edge emphasis processing as an input signal and executing clipping processing and luminance density conversion processing by table conversion without using a hardware. SOLUTION: A scanner 1 reads an original and outputs an 8-bit monochro signal and an edge emphasis processing part 102 gives edge emphasis processing to the signal. The signal is inputted to a table conversion processing part 103 and this processing part 103 consists of ROM, etc. By inputting inputted data to the address line of ROM, data after table conversion is outputted to the data line. An output from the processing part 103 can be clipping-processed. Then the picture signal converted by the processing part 103 is inputted to a printer 104 to obtain monochro-print output and a prescribed copying operation is finished. |
