PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic recording medium which indicates the brightness and darkness by the parts impressed with magnetism and the parts not impressed with the magnetism on a magnetic recording layer and is capable of reversibly displaying bright images having high resolution and the excellent sensitivity and contrast of printing recording and the images having excellent stability. SOLUTION: This magnetic recording medium is constituted by dispersing and arranging the microcapsules 14, into which flaky magnetic particles having coercive force of at least <=50Oe (measured magnetic field: 5kOe) and dispersion media formed by dispersing these particles and exhibiting a solid phase state at ordinary tap. are included, into a binder 15, thereby forming a magnetic recording layer. Further, the particle size of the flaky magnetic particles is made smaller and the aspect ratio thereof made larger, by which the contrast in the microcapcules is increased, the rotation (orientation) in the microcapsules is facilitated and the sensitivity is improved. |
