PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to impart high heat resistance and corrosion resistance to a reflection mirror, to improve the adhesion property between a base body and a metallic layer and to execute firing at a relatively low temp. so as to improve productivity. SOLUTION: The base body 19 having a concave curvilinear surface 19a consists of glass ceramics and the metallic layer 21 formed on the curvilinear surface of the base body 19 consists of a metal having the m.p. higher than the softening point of the glass in the glass ceramics. A graded compsn. layer 22 formed between the base body 19 and the metallic layer 21 is so composed that the content of the metal decreases from the metallic layer 21 toward the base body 19 and the content of the glass ceramics increases. The metallic layer 21 contains one or >=2 kinds of the metals selected from a group consisting of Au, Ag, Pd and Pt and the glass ceramics contains one or >=2 kinds of the ceramics selected from a group consisting of alumina, mullite, zirconia, cordierite andβ-spondumene.
