PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the resist accuracy and the color slippage in forming the color image by overlapping a plurality of image data by controlling the write timing of the image onto a surface of the image carrier with the position at which a paper sheet tip detecting means detects the tip of a transfer paper fed from a paper sheet feeding means as a starting point. SOLUTION: When a transfer paper 20 is fed from a paper feeding unit 15, and the tip of the transfer paper 20 reaches the position of a paper tip position detecting sensor 16, the detected signal is outputted from the paper tip position detecting sensor 16 to a control part 17. The control part 17 controls the write timing of the image by the pulse number according to the distance from this position to each transfer position of each photosensitive drum 11. The resist accuracy is not affected by the mechanical accuracy of a carrying mechanism, and more excellent resist mechanism can be obtained. Control can be realized by a relatively simple circuit constitution. The distance to the transfer position may be controlled by other measurable numerical values, etc., in place of the pulse number. |
