<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a bend of a recording track and a break of an envelope at a reproducing time by performing a stop and a start after recording is ended, feeding a magnetic tape by one track until next recording is started and performing the stop and the start in an invalid area even in intermittent recording. SOLUTION: A rotary drum 1 is provided with heads 10a, 10b adjacent to the same base and recording tracks with different azimuth angles. A capstan drive means 40 feeds the magnetic tape 2 at a prescribed speed by a capstan motor 3. An information signal generation means 5 generates an information signal to be recorded on the magnetic tape 2 to output it to the heads 10a, 10b. Further, a stop/start control means 6 controls the stop/start timing of the capstan and the output timing of the information signal at the timing synchronized with the rotational phase of the rotary drum 1. At this time, the heads 10a, 10b perform the stop and the start in the invalid area even in the intermittent recording to prevent the bend of the recording track by feeding the magnetic tape by one track until the next recording is started after the recording is ended.</p> |
