PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To express a feel including projecting feature such as an edge and a corner existing in a video by allowing an irregular mesh for the video to measure the expressing error of a control point through the use of an algorithm for expressing a video with an irregular rectangular mesh. SOLUTION: This algorithm consists of a step 201 for generating a primary mesh and primarily judging validity with respect to a control point in triangle mesh expression, and a routine for reducing the number of the control points consisting of steps 202 to 206. This routine consists of the step 202 for selecting a control point which is provided with the first change of an average expression error, the step 203 for removing the selected control point, the step 204 for dividing a supporting area related to the removed control points into triangles, the step 205 for updating the change of an average expression error related to the removed control point and the step 206 for inspecting a repetition interrupting condition. The new set of smaller number of irregular triangular meshes of the control points is formed by the execution of this routine. |
