PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device capable improving color dislocation and nonuniformity to obtain a high quality image. SOLUTION: A photosensitive drum 1 uniformly charged by a primary charger 2 is exposed to the first laser beam L1 and the first laser beam L2 at the same time to form static latent images to be measured and a timing for surface potential to be changed when the static latent images are passed therethrough in sequence is detected by a photosenstive surface potential sensor 6, so that a time TC for the photosenstive drum to be moved from the first exposure position 11 to the second exposure position 12 can measured highly precisely. A time TT1 while an image forming controller recognizes a BD signal D1 and then transmits a scanning exposure starting S2 is satisfied with TT1= TC-TP/2, where TC is a time for the photosensitive drum 1 to be moved distance C from the first exposure position 11 to the second exposure position 12 and TP is a time while a BD sensor detects the reflection end of a polygonal mirror 50 and then detects the next reflection end. |
