PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical junction block which is small in size and is capable of branching many optical fibers in arbitrary directions by arranging plural optical waveguides which intersect flatly or three-dimensionally with each other and providing the intersected parts of these optical waveguides with detaining means for detaining light reflection means. SOLUTION: The plural optical waveguides 12 are arranged in a substrate 11 so as to intersect with each other to a grid form on a plane. The respective optical waveguides 12 penetrate the substrate 11 and are provided with input/ output ports 13A to 13P for connection of the optical fibers at both ends. All of the intersected parts 14 of the respective optical waveguides 12 are provided with cruciform slits 15 which are the detaining means for intersecting with the intersected parts 14 at 45 deg. angle therewith. Total reflection mirrors 16 and half mirrors 17 are inserted and detained to the proper points of the slits 15, by which desired distributing circuits are obtd. |
