The prosthesis support consists of an implant (10) which is fitted into the jaw bone and has a conical end recess (22). A ring (17) has a conical projection (19) to fit into the implant recess. A superstructure (12) has a conical projection (21) to fit into a matching recess (18) in the ring. The conical projections on the ring and superstructure have pairs of lugs (29,27) to engage with matching notches (33,31) in the implant and ring respectively to prevent the components from rotating relative to one another. The lugs and notches are all cylindrical in shape, with diameters smaller than the small ends of the conical projections and recesses. The lugs extend for the whole height of their respective cones.
