The device protects wares consisting of a cover (1) with pages (2) glued into it. The binding operation forces the glue (3), in which magnetic particles (4) are dispersed in a random orientation, between the pages. The marking, which is invisible from the outside of the cover, is magnetised preferably before the glue is dry so that the particles adopt a homogeneous orientation in a weak DC magnetic field. The magnetisation may be performed after drying, given a sufficiently strong field for the reduced mobility of the particles. |
