PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a non-aqueous electrolyte battery with easy injection of electrolytes by arranging a graphite material as a negative pole active substance so that the planar direction of a grid face (002) is vertical toward the negative pole core body. SOLUTION: In a non-aqueous electrolyte battery using a negative pole active substance, mainly graphite material, the planar direction of graphite particles (002) is arranged vertically toward a negative pole core body. The inter-layer graphite is arranged vertically toward the negative pole core body, when electrolyte is injected the electrolyte can be injected over the entire inside of the negative pole efficiently. Since the electrolyte is sufficiently held to the inside of the negative pole active layer, the battery characteristics of high-rate discharge or the like is improved. Since graphite particles are arranged vertically toward the negative pole core body, if a relatively soft copper foil is used for the negative pole core body, the tip end of the graphite particles cuts into the copper foil and the close contact with the negative pole core body and the negative pole active layer can be increased. |
