摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery having a superior bonding property and conductivity by using a molding made of mixed powders containing powder whose main component is an electrode active material for the components of an electrode and a low-strained scale-piece shaped nickel powder. SOLUTION: In an alkali secondary battery, a molding made of mixed powders containing powder whose main component is an electrode active material and low-strained scale-piece shaped nickel powder is a component of the electrode. Low-straining denotes that internal strain is alleviated, and dynamic hardness is preferably approx. 300 DH or less. This molding preferably forms a network in which the scale-piece shaped nickel powder is arranged in the layer shape. The electrode mixes the powder whose main component is this positive electrode active material and a thermally treated scale-piece shaped nickel powder, and those mixed powders are manufactured by molding them or the like. The heat treatment temperature is at approx. 300 to 900 deg. and heat treatment is preferably performed in the inert gas atmosphere.
